Quantitative & Qualitative Evaluation of RNA/DNA Samples

Back

Checking for RNA/DNA quality and quantity is a vital pre-requisite to carrying out microarray experiments. The Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer (LabChip) has become the industry standard for carrying out this process. This system allows us to determine the degree of contamination, the amount of RNA/DNA in a sample (RNA concentration) and the quality of RNA (whether any degredation has occured). Checking for these factors ensures that good microarray results should be obtained and that microarray experiments costing a great deal will not be wasted.
